There are some hills that separate two major points in the north-east i.,e Tawang and Guwahati. Sela lake, Nunarang river and the stunning beauty around the entire trek will definitely be a beautiful experience for the trek lovers.

Sela Pass is known for its stunning scenic beauty. The entire place is covered with white snow for most of the time of the year. The people live in the villages around this trek are mainly of the Buddhist community. These small villages on the hills are equally beautiful.
Beautiful Sela lake, Madhuri lake, and Nuranang falls are not too far
Sela lake is one of the most attractive places here. Sela lake has a lot of history around it. It is heard from the lamas that once Dalai Lama came here. He waited for a while to take a cup of tea. After that, he went towards Twang. People can go to visit the beautiful Madhuri lake. It’s in Tawang and not too far away from the Sela Pass. The beauty of this lake is beyond imagination. According to the Buddhist community, there are more hidden lakes are here. The total number of sacred lakes around here are 10. Surrounded by the hills with crystal clear water and a pleasant nature makes a perfect combination for this place. Nuranang falls is not far behind when natural beauty is the most important thing. It’s surrounding gives you time to relax by the waterfalls. The entire surrounding is covered with hills and green enhance the entire beauty.
Historical places and Monasteries creased the beauty of the region
One of the key places to visit here is a 40-feet high colorful Tawang War Memorial, dedicated to the Indian Soldiers who died in the 1962 Sino-Indian war. This war memorial is also known as the Jaswantgarh war memorial, which is situated located at Nuranang and 25 km away from Tawang. This historic war memorial was built to show respect to rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawa. Tawang has some beautiful monasteries in the world. Golden Namgyal Lhatse is one of them. This monastery is more than 400 years old and it is thought to be the second largest monastery in the world. The beauty of these monasteries in the Himalayan valley is very joyful to watch. Along with the big statue of Lord Buddha, monks and students make the entire area more beautiful.

Day 1: Reach Bomdilla
You can reach Bomdilla from Tezpur by a shared car or rental cab. The base camp will be here. You need to take some rest and prepare for the trek.
Day 2: Bomdilla to Pangam Village
There will be several Tibetian monasteries and schools on the way. Such as the Bomdila monastery is the most important here. You have to cross a dense forest with dark and rocky hills in this part. Pangam village will be nearby. The overnight camp will be near this village.
Day 3: Pangam Village - Langam village
Semnak and Langam are two beautiful villages that have to cross. A bamboo forest is to be crossed and then you will see Panschsara meadow. You have to climb up about 500m or more to reach Langam village. The camp will be here to stay at night.
Day 4: Langam Village - Chander Village - Namsha
In this part of this trek, there will be some farm road, some would be a village trail and in the middle, there will be some part, where the paved road is extremely paved. There will be a beautiful Chander Village on the trail. This village is situated on the crest, the mount is kind of steep here. Mt Gorichen, the highest point in Arunachal Pradesh will be seen from here. On the way of paved roads, you will get a tea shop. Here you get tea, coffee, and snacks. After that, you will reach Namsha. The camp will be here.
Day 5: Namsha - Sangit
There will be another monastery that belongs to the Tibetian school of Buddism on the way. From here you will notice the gradient. You need 1 hour to reach the ridge. The gradient is not too difficult to ride at first. But it gets steep later along with the thickly wooded mountainside to the top. From this point, Sangit villages will be very near. However, after walking downhill for 1 hour to reach Sangit( 1620 meter). You can ///spend overnight at the hotel here.
Day 6: Sangit - Sela Lake - Mukto Village
On this part of the trek, the view of Gorichen peak and its surroundings is spectacular. Here Sela lake will be on the way. There is a war memorial You have to go downwards and to cross a valley and a river to reach Mukto village. The village is 3000m above the valley. The camp will be here near the village to stay at night.
Day 7: Mukto Village - Chakdajam Village - Kipi Village
After breakfast, you need to walk back to the riverside for 30 mins to reach Chakdajam village. You have to reach the main roads and cross the river bridge. After that, you have to take the right-sided trail and climb through a rocky path for 2 hours to reach Kipi villages. This village is very popular for its traditional colorful ethnic dress and jewelry. The camp will be here to spend the night.
Day 8: Kipi Village - Sheru Village - Tawang Monastery
Walking through the trail, you will get another river and Sheru village. You have to climb a steep path for 1 hour. After walking through a narrow path at the top of the mountains for 6 km, you will reach Tawang. Tawang monastery is the main attraction here. It has almost 200 monks. You can stay overnight at a hotel here.
Day 9: Tawang Monastery - Tezpur
Weather at Sela Pass is heavenly beautiful. The temperature at Sela Pass may vary at the different parts of the year. Some part of the trek is always covered with white snow throughout the year. After snowfall the lakes and mountains around here become super-attractive. The temperature drops rapidly during December and January months. Sometimes it may go beyond -20 degrees Celcius. The trekkers are allowed to go there throughout the year. But, the best time to visit Sela pass is between March to May and October. As the temperature is always on the lower side and random snowfalls are there, So suitable warm clothes are required to carry during this trek. During March-April, the temperature may be between 5 to 18 degrees Celcius. Though the temperature is a bit higher this time, still you can be able to watch white snow-covered peaks in the Himalayas.
There are no ATMs or connectivity on the way of the trekking route. ATMs are available only at Tezpur. There will be connectivity at Tawang. You should take a sufficient amount of cash from ATMs to start the trekking.
