Wayanad is a very common weekend getaway destination from Bengaluru and is at the top of the Deccan plateau in the southern tip. The term Wayanad is derived from a Tamil word Vayal Nadu that means the land of paddy fields. It is the untamed rivers of the place that attracts the city people to live behind the fast life and soak in the lap of the nature. The flourishing wildlife and the lush mountains are the beauty of the place that keeps the visitors engaged. Wayanad is a small town that can be called as the abode of the nature having dense rain forests, breathtaking waterfalls, and star studded night treks. Some of the activities to try out in Wayanad are off road jeep adventure, river hikes, camping in Wayanad, and Wayanad night trek.

Start for an overnight road trip from Bangalore at about 9 am. The distance of Bengaluru to Wayanad is of about 276 km that would take about 7 to 8 hours.
Reach Wayanad by 7 am post a road journey.
Check into the resting place, freshen up, and have your breakfast.
Start exploring the places and start with Thollaiyiram Kandi & Cholamala Waterfalls.
Get to the home stay by the early evening.
Start trekking to the sunset view point.
Get back and get your dinner and gear up for the night trek.
The night trek is to Ambukuthi hills whose distance is of about 15 km.
The night trek under the stars is at the Ambukuthi hills.
Enjoy camp fire and sleep in the tents.
Start your day early, get up, and have your breakfast.
Post this go ahead to view the sunrise.
It is the time to pack your tents and hike back to homestay.
Go ahead to visit the Banasura dam.
The next trek is a small one of about 3 km to Soochipara falls.
Depart to the Bangalore city.
The accommodation for this 2 days trek is on the double and triple sharing basis. There are different accommodation option for the boys and the girls.
All the things that are required in the accommodation like the blanket, bags, pillows, etc all are available and included in the package.
Separate washrooms and changing rooms are there for women and men. It can be used by the people on different time.
On the first day, the trekkers will be given packed lunch. It will be a fresh meal which goes without the worry of hygiene and durability.
Dinner on the first day is also included. It will be enjoyed with the bonfire which makes it even more fun.
Delicious local breakfast on the second day that will be enjoyed with the views of the peaks all around.
All the meals that are included in the Kumar Parvatha trek package would be pure vegetarian.
The transport will be provided depending upon the group size of the trek for the road trip. It can either be a non AC tempo traveller or the mini bus with the push back seats.
The transport would be available for a road trip from Bangalore to Bangalore. If the trekkers are from some other place, they have to reach Bangalore and meet the group from where the trek would start together.
The trek leads will be given to the trekkers from the Togedr team and they will accompany the trekkers throughout.
Forest permits are essential for trekking in the forest and the permits are included in the package itself. The trekkers need not worry about it.
Forest guide would also join the trek from where the forest trail starts.
Any kind of insurance is not included in this package.
Personal expenses of any kind are not included in this package.
Anything that isn’t included in the inclusion is obviously excluded.
Our ideal group size is from 12 to 21 members.
We always try to have equal female to male ration in our trips so that everyone is at ease.
At least 8 members would be required to get the trip going.
If 8 members aren’t there in the trip, the refund to the rest members would be given.
The trekkers need to select either of these pickup points depending upon their preference.
The drop off points will be the same as the pickup points.
Any change in the pickup points would be informed to the trekkers 24 hours before.
1. A Backpack with all your necessities to cover the entire trek.
2. A rain cover because you cannot predict temperature.
3. Water bottles and all your refreshments which include all sorts of hydration packs which you prefer to keep you energized.
4. Snacks like the energy bars and the protein bars which would give you instant energy during your trek. During the non-meal hours, you can eat these and get back on the track with full energy.
5. Personal Medical Kit with all the necessary first aid items and medicines which you feel you will need. It is always advisable to take medicines for dizziness, upset stomach, headache, and cold and cough while being in Himalayan camps or anywhere.
6. Pack your outfits with all the relatable clothing items like wind and waterproof jackets, t- shirts, track pants, thermal inners, trekking shoes and fleece jackets. All the necessary winter outfits for the winter treks.
7. All the toiletries products in a bag because you will need them the most.
8. Also do not forget to take your extra accessories like the sunglasses, caps, gloves, walking stick, torch, and similar other items. These products are really important and you would not get the chance to buy them anywhere while being on the trek.
9. It is always better to stick to the trek pants and the joggers. They keep you comfortable and perfectly fine while walking up and down the rocky ridges. We also advise you to keep extra joggers with you
10. Do carry a pair of gloves as you will need them the most.
Day 1 – Depart for Wayanad from Bengaluru
The distance of the road journey is of about 278 km of Wayanad from Bangalore. It is an overnight comfortable journey in a bus that is of about 7 to 8 hours. The trekkers would reach early in the morning at around 6 am in Wayanad. It is great to sleep in the bus so that you are energised enough for an adventurous trip.
Day 1 – Explore Thollayiram Kandi and Night Trek to Ambukuthi Hilltop
This is going to be a wonderful day where you will be breathing the fresh air of the lush green mountains. The first stop is at Sultan Bathery where the trekkers would freshen up, have their meal, and start the trek finally. A very short bus journey from this place to Meppadi starts post this. From this place an exciting jeep ride to Thollayiram starts. It is a beautiful paradise and is a heaven to be at. The sunset point is a great place to spend your evenings at when in Wayanad. The hues of the sky are simply gorgeous and next level pretty. Honestly, it is the sight of the trip for which you have done so much hard work of reaching there.
Post this, all you have to do is head out to the home stay where the actual fun of night trekking would begin. Get freshen up, have your lovely dinner in the abode of the nature, and start the night hike to the Ambukuthi hills. This has to be the start of an amazing night that is right in front of you. After you reach the top, it is the time to unpack your tents and set them. Campfire, stories, games, and star gazing is all left for you to do now.
Day 2 – Hike to the Ambukuthi hills and return to Bangalore
Wake up early on the second day because you again have a long day ahead you. Get your breakfast and get ready for the hike again. The early morning hike to the Ambukuthi hills starts to catch the glimpse of one of the most magical sunrises. From the top, you can also watch the Kodaikanal hills and spend some time over there exploring the gorgeous sights.
After some time, it is the time to head back to the base camp and get ready to board the bus for Bangalore again. You would reach Bangalore early morning the next day.
