About Sakleshpur Trekking

Situated in the Malnad region of Karnataka lies the beautiful hill station of Sakleshpur. Surrounded by the lush green hills of the Western Ghats, Sakleshpur is the perfect weekend destination from Bangalore for a quick trip. Bangalore to Sakleshpur distance is around 225 kilometers and takes about 4 hours by road to reach Sakleshpur.

There is a number of places to visit in Sakleshpur as well a number of adventurous activities to do like cycling and trekking. There are a number of coffee plantations in and around this whole region. The Bisle Ghat and viewpoint provides some stunning panoramic views of the entire region.

There are a number of picturesque waterfalls that you will see at regular intervals while traveling around Sakleshpur and this region is one of the biodiversity hotspots in the Western Ghat region. The Hemavathi river flows through Sakleshpur as well.

Short Itinerary:

Day 01: Sakleshpur – Manjara fort – Bisle ghat

Day 02: Agni Gudda hill - Sri Sakleshwara Swami Temple

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 01:

You will arrive from Bangalore in the morning by road and then check into your homestay.

You will have some breakfast and start visiting the Sakleshpur tourist places one by one.
You will first visit the Manjarabad Fort, a very popular Sakleshpur fort which was built by Tipu Sultan with the help of French architects. It is star-shaped and attracts a number of tourists every day.
You will be visiting next the Bisle Ghat and viewpoint which provides stunning panoramic views of the entire landscape. Bisle Ghat is surrounded by forests that are home to a number of animals and birds. One can witness the Kumara Parvatha and Doddabetta peaks from this point.
There are also cycling tours and treks that can be done here. In the evening post lunch you will go to Jenukal Gudda to witness the beautiful sunset here. This place is surrounded by coffee plantations and forests. Post this you will return to your homestay for the night.

Day 02:

You will wake up early to witness the sunrise from the Agni Gudda Hill. The Agni Gudda hill trek is a popular Sakleshpur trek that starts from the Agani village located 3 kilometers away from the summit. Beautiful views of the forests and the lush green valleys will welcome you at the summit. It takes about an hour to complete the whole trek.
After descending, you will have breakfast and pay a visit at the Sri Sakleshwara Swami Temple which is located by the banks of the Hemavathi river and is one of the most visited places to visit in Sakleshpur. It was built under the reign of Hoysalas and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It attracts a number of visitors and pilgrims throughout the year and is famous for its stunning architecture.
Post this you will come to your homestay and relax there for sometime before starting your journey back to Bangalore. You will reach Bangalore by the evening.

220 km away. You can easily book a cab from the airport to Sakleshpur.

In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases the our service partner will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity.
For all the above choices, you can transfer your tickets to your friends. We would be more than happy to have them on board and you could save your hard earned money.
The company reserves the right to cancel the trip due to unforeseen circumstances, in case of such cancellation your amount will be refunded back.

Refund Policy

The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days
All applicable refunds will be done in traveller's togedr wallet.

COVID 19 additional measures

Members travelling should practice social distancing.
If the trek/trip gets cancelled due to any pandemic or government’s order, there would be no refund instead the plan will get postponed.
