Our Sakleshpur tour package has been planned to keep in mind the needs of the weekend travellers coming from Bangalore.

The trip can be easily done over a weekend and does not require a thorough prior planning. There are number of places to visit in Sakleshpur which will keep you mesmerized. Here is the detailed itinerary-


Day 0

  • Today we will start our journey from Bangalore around 8 pm.

Day 1

  • We will arrive from Bangalore in the morning by road and then check into our homestay.
  • There are quite a number of options of staying in Sakleshpur resorts but we will stay in a homestay to get an experience of living like a local resident.
  • We will have some breakfast and start visiting the Sakleshpur tourist places one by one.
  • We will first visit the Manjarabad Fort, a very popular Sakleshpur fort which was built by Tipu Sultan with the help of French architects. It is star shaped and attracts a number of tourists every day.
  • We will next visit the Bisle Ghat and viewpoint which provides stunning panoramic views of the entire landscape. Bisle Ghat is surrounded by forests which are home to a number of animals and birds. One can witness the Kumara Parvatha and Doddabetta peaks from this point.
  • There are also cycling tours and treks that can be done here. In the evening post lunch we will go to Jenukal Gudda to witness the beautiful sunset here. This place is surrounded by coffee plantations and forests.Post this we will return to our homestay and stay there for the night.

Day 2

  • We will wake up early to witness the sunrise from the Agni Gudda Hill. The Agni gudda hill trek is a popular Sakleshpur trek that starts from the Agani village located 3 kilometres away from the summit. Beautiful views of the forests and the lush green valleys will welcome you at the summit. It takes about an hour to complete the whole trek.
  • After descending, we will have breakfast and pay a visit at the Sri Sakleshwara Swami Temple which is located by the banks of the Hemavathi river and is one of the most visited places to visit in Sakleshpur. It was built under the reign of Hoysalas and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It attracts a number of visitors and pilgrims throughout the year and is famous for its stunning architecture.
  • Post this we will come our homestay and relax there for sometime before starting our journey back to Bangalore. We will mostly reach Bangalore by the evening.

Sakleshpur is well connected by most major cities in Karnataka and neighbouring states by road. The distance of Bangalore to Sakleshpur is around 225 kilometres which can be covered in 4 hours. There are frequent buses from Bangalore to Sakleshpur. The nearest airport is at Mangalore.

Best time to visit Sakleshpur

Sakleshpur weather is pleasant during most times of the year being a hill station. The best time to visit Sakleshpur is from November to April when the Sakleshpur weather is at its best. The temperatures mostly remain below 22 degrees Celsius during this period.

During monsoons, Sakleshpur receives substantial amount of rainfall with July being the wettest month. There is a slight increase in temperature during the summer months.

  • If you cancel 48 hours before the date of event:
    • No refund would be provided.
    • Last minute cancellations due to work, health issues etc. would not be entertained and no refund or transfer shall be allowed for the same.
  • Additional charges would be deducted (based on from where you booked) if you cancel the trek at any given date (along with the scenario described above), as payment gateway/event listing charges.
  • For all the above choices, you can transfer your tickets to your friends. We would be more than happy to have them on board and you could save your hard earned money.
  • If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made within 0-30 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases the our service partner will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity.
  • For all the above choices, you can transfer your tickets to your friends. We would be more than happy to have them on board and you could save your hard earned money.

Refund Policy

  • The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days

Payment Policy

  • 50 Days or more before date of departure: 25% of total cost.
  • 31 - 49 Days before date of departure: 50% of total cost.
  • 30 days before date of departure: 100% of total cost.
  • Important: The booking stands liable to be cancelled if 100% payment is not received less than 30 days before date of departure.
