About Chopta Chandrashila Deoriatal Trek
Deoria Tal is a beautiful high altitude lake, it is about 3kms from Sari village. You can’t miss the reflection of Chaukhamba in the lake. The summit of Tungnath- Chandrashila peak provides a breathtaking 360-degree view. Chopta is popularly referred to as Mini-Switzerland of India because of its undulating green meadows and a breathtaking view of the majestic Himalayan peaks. From Chopta you will start your trek to the Tungnath temple, which is at an altitude of 3680m and is the highest Shiva shrine in the world. Along the route, you can enjoy a wide variety of flora and fauna. You get some wonderful views of the Himalayan giant including Bandarpoonch, Kedarnath, Chaukhamba peak and many more.
From Tungnath you can trek further 1 km to the summit of Chandrashilla peak at about 4000 m and accomplish the Chandrashila Trek. The 180º view of the snow-capped peaks and the underlying valleys all around make this trek a special one.

Short Itinerary:
Day 00: Depart from Delhi at 10:00 pm.
Day 01: Rishikesh - Sari, and trek to Deoria Tal.
Day 02:Deoria Tal - Chopta Campsite.
Day 03:Chopta – Tungnath- Chandrashila- back to Chopta campsite.
Day 04: Back to Rishikesh from Chopta.
Day 05: Reach Delhi early morning around 5:00-6:00 am.
Detailed Itinerary:
Day 00: Depart from Delhi to Sari at 10:00 pm.
Day 01: Rishikesh to Sari and trek to Deoria Tal (192 km l 7-8hours l Altitude 7999ft)
- The journey starts from Rishikesh and takes around 7-8 hours to reach Sari.
- Sari is located at Rudraprayag district in Uttarakhand.
- Start your trek towards Deoria Tal, it’s a short 3km trek.
- Overnight stay at a campsite in Deoria Tal.
Day 02: Deoria Tal – Chopta (8-9km l 3-4 hours hike l Altitude 8790ft)
- Wake up early morning and freshen up, have your breakfast and enjoy the beautiful peaceful morning.
- Trek to Chopta campsite its a beautiful jungle walk.
- Enjoy your evening at the beautiful campsite.
- Night stay at the campsite.
Day 03: Chopta-Tungnath-Chandrashila-Chopta(4kms l 6-7 hours l 12,500ft)
- Wake up early morning and freshen up, have your breakfast it’s a long day today but a beautiful one.
- Start your trek (3kms) towards Tungnath temple the highest Lord Shiva temple.
- Start your trek from Tungnath to Chandrashila which is a 1km trek.
- The view you get from the Chandrashila summit is unbeatable.
- Trek down to the Chopta campsite.
Day 04: Chopta- Rishikesh( 194 km l 7-8 hours l 1470ft)
- Wake up early morning and freshen up, have your breakfast.
- Drive back to Dehradun.
Day 05: Reach Delhi early morning around 5:00-6:00 am.
How to Reach:
By Air: Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest Airport from Sari, situated 235km away from the Dehradun district of Uttarakhand state. The remaining journey has to be covered either in a taxi or on a bus. Taxi is easily available to Rishikesh, Rudraprayag, Ukhimath, and Sari from Jolly Grant Airport.
By Rail: The nearest railhead to Sari is Rishikesh situated 209 km away. Rishikesh is well connected by railway networks with major cities of India. Buses and Taxis to Sari and Ukhimath are easily available from Rishikesh.
By Road: Dehradun and Rishikesh are well connected to all major cities. Sari which is about 235kms away from Dehradun will take around 7-8 hours. You can book a cab or take public transport to reach Sari.

Cancellation Policy
- 50 % refund if notified via phone, Mail 5 days prior to the Date of Travel.
- No refund if the cancellation is requested is less than 5 days of day of travel.
- No show, no refund.
- Booking cannot be transferred to another date against cancellation.
- In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases the our service partner will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity.
- For all the above choices, you can transfer your tickets to your friends. We would be more than happy to have them on board and you could save your hard earned money.
- The company reserves the right to cancel the trip due to unforeseen circumstances, in case of such cancellation your amount will be refunded back.
Refund Policy
- The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days
