Chikmagalur is one of the hill stations in Karnataka. It is a popular weekend getaway destination from Bangalore, Mysore, and other nearby places. It is a great place to relax and also satisfy your adventure lust. Chikmagaulr has some hidden trails to make the basic trek a lot more exciting. Mullayanagri peak is one of the spots for trekking which is highly preferred these days and it is quite famous amongst the trekkers. A trek to the Mullayanagri hills is all about rustic but the lovely pathways. 

From the base point, it takes about 1 hour and a half to reach the topmost peak and the view from the top is exhilarating. You would be at the highest peak of Karnataka when you are here and that means treating your eyes with some of the most splendid scenes. The trek path is good and the peak has verdant grasslands and rugged rocks.

Short Itinerary:

Day 01: Campsite – Mullayanagri

Day 02: Campsite – Dattapetta – Baba Budan Giri.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 00:

  • Your trek to the Mullayanagri peak starts from Bangalore.
  • You have to get on a late-night road trip from Bangalore on a bus around 10 pm. The distance from Bangalore to Mullayanagri is about 265 km and it would take around 5 to 6 hours to reach the place.

DAY 01:

  • You will reach Mullayanagri quite early and you have to go to the base camp straight and relax for a bit.
  • You can freshen up and enjoy your breakfast post that. Start your trek to the Mullayanagri peak and also you will be given your packed lunch to carry with you. 
  • This trek has two peak points, the lower one is the Mullayanagri and the higher one is the Bababudangri and this is also the highest one in Karnataka. 
  • Post trekking for about 20 minutes, Mullayanagri hills comes into view. The temple on the peak can be seen from this spot. You will come across the hillsides, grasslands, and the other landscapes include caves, small streams, and a Nandi statue. While moving forward, the vegetation gets denser and shrubs also come into the view. As you go closer to the peak, the trail becomes steeper. From here, the Mullayanagri hills is very nearby. 
  • The difficulty level becomes moderate from here but the trekking is still fun. The sunset will be viewed from the top along with the exploring of the Jharri falls. 
  • Get back to the campsite by the evening and enjoy some snacks, bonfire, camping in Mullayanagri, dinner, overnight stay in tents. 

DAY 02:

  • The second day of the Mullayanagri trek camping begins early in the morning where you wake up to view the beautiful sunrise in the hills. Freshen up, have your breakfast, and get ready to explore the Dattapeeta and go for river rafting at Bhadra. 
  • Post this, the Mullayanagri trek camping ends and you have to head back to Bangalore. 

How to reach Mullayanagri:

By Air: Mangalore is the nearest airport from Mullayangiri about 180 km away. You can book a cab from the airport to Mullayangiri.

By Train: Tarikere is the nearest railway station to Mullayanagri, which is about 65 km away. You can easily book a cab from the station to reach Mullayanagri.

By Road: You can reach Mullayanagri via Chikmagalur and have plenty of options for buses.

Inclusions:

  • The trek leads will be given to the trekkers from the Togedr team and they will accompany the trekkers throughout.

  • Forest permits are essential for trekking in the forest and the permits are included in the package itself. The trekkers need not worry about it.

  • Guide would also join the trek from where the forest trail starts.

Exclusions:

  • Any kind of insurance is not given. 
  • Any kind of personal expenses is not given. 
  • Anything that is not mentioned in the inclusions is not given. 

Cancellation Policy

  • 50 % refund if notified via phone, Mail 5 days prior to the Date of Travel.
  • No refund if the cancellation is requested is less than 5 days of day of travel.
  • No show, no refund.
  • Booking cannot be transferred to another date against cancellation.
  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases the our service partner will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity.
  • For all the above choices, you can transfer your tickets to your friends. We would be more than happy to have them on board and you could save your hard earned money.
  • The company reserves the right to cancel the trip due to unforeseen circumstances, in case of such cancellation your amount will be refunded back.

Refund Policy

  • The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days
  • All applicable refunds will be done in traveller's togedr wallet.
