Our Honeymoon Excursion package has been planned to keep in my mind the interests of those honeymoon couples who love a bit of adventure and thrill in their honeymoon package.
It has been curated in such a way that you will get to experience every bit of almost all major things that this place has to offer. You will start from Port Blair which is one of the most important cities on this island which has places of historical importance like the Cellular Jail in the proximity.
Next up will be the Havelock and the Neil islands which have pristine beaches and boast of beautiful surroundings. These islands are also famous for the huge number of water activities like snorkelling, scuba diving and sea walking. A candlelight dinner on the beach at night in Havelock island is something all couples will surely love.
Baratang Island is also located nearby which can be explored. It has limestone caves and mud volcanoes. Neil island has a host of unexplored and pristine beaches which will mesmerise you.
Itinerary:
This honeymoon package spans over 6 nights and 7 days. Historical monuments, beautiful beaches, adventure activities and island excursions, it has all of them. Here is the itinerary of the whole trip-
Day 1 :
- You will be taking a morning flight and landing in Andaman in the morning.
- Once you arrive at the Veer Savarkar International Airport at Port Blair, a car will be taking you to the jetty from where an inter-island ferry will take you to Neil Island.
- Once you reach the island, you will be checking into your resort.
- Neil Island is home to a number of unexplored and deserted beaches quite different from the other beaches on the islands.
- There are three major beaches here namely the Sitapur, Ramnagar and Lakshmanpura.
- Post your lunch, you can visit the Sitapur beach and viewpoint. In the evening, we will visit the Laxmanpur beach which has a natural coral bridge. This beach also has great sunsets. Post this you will return to your resort and stay here overnight.
Day 2
- This day will be reserved for visiting the Havelock Islands which has some of the best and most visited beaches on these islands.
- Havelock Islands are extremely popular destinations for honeymoon couples because these islands have serene surroundings where you can stay in close contact with nature.
- A ferry ride from Neil Island will take you to Havelock Island.
- Once you reach here, you will check into your hotel.
- After a sumptuous breakfast, you will head to the Elephant Island which is a beautiful white sand beach.
- The shallow waters here provide amazing views of the coral reefs and the underwater marine life.
- Adventurous water activities like snorkelling and scuba diving, therefore, can be done here. A free snorkelling session shall be arranged by our team awaits for you as well here.
- In the evening you can witness the beautiful sunset from the Radhanagar Beach here which is touted as one of the most scenic beaches in Asia.
- You be staying here in Havelock for the night.
Day 3
- You will visit the Kalapatthar beach after your breakfast first.
- This is also a very picturesque and quiet beach which all couples love a lot.
- You can sit and spend some quality time here.
- Kalapatthar beach also has some diving centres and snorkelling facilities.
- You will next head to your hotel for lunch, post which you will leave for Port Blair.
- You will check into a hotel in Port Blair for the night.
Day 4
- You will start early next day and leave for Diglipur.
- You will pass through the Baratang Island, Mayabunder and Rangat on the way to Diglipur.
- The Baratang Island is a beautiful island with mangrove forests, exotic beaches, limestone caves and mud volcanoes.
- The limestone caves have beautiful stalagmites and stalactites formations.
- One has to cross a mangrove forest to reach this place and visiting this place is indeed a wonderful experience.
- Once you reach Diglipur, you can explore the beaches of Lamiya and Kalipur here. You will be staying at a resort in Diglipur for the night.
Day 5
- Diglipur has some places to visit.
- The Ross and Smith Islands which are twin islands separated by the white sand beach are major attractions for snorkelling. You will be visiting these today. This place also boasts pristine natural beauty.
- The Saddle National Park is also situated here which houses the Saddle Peak.
- A permit is required for this trek through the forests to the Saddle peak that provides beautiful panoramic views of the whole landscapes. This can also be done here.
Day 6
- You will be checking out of your hotel in Diglipur and proceeding towards by Port Blair by road. Once you reach Port Blair, you will be checking into your hotel.
- The Cellular Jail which is a place of great significance as it gives the detailed account of freedom fighters who were imprisoned here by the British and had sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence.
- A light and sound show is arranged here every day that narrates the whole saga of the martyrs who had sacrificed their lives in the Indian independence struggle.
- Post this, you can explore the local markets and indulge in some shopping.
- Handicrafts, bamboo furniture, pearl jewellery and various other things can be found here that you can take back with you.
- Once this wraps up, you will be taken back to your hotel.
Day 7
- This would be the last day of your honeymoon package.
- We would be arranging a cab from dropping you at the airport.
- The trip comes to a conclusion here.
Best time for visiting this place for a honeymoon:
It is possible to visit Andaman islands throughout the year but the best time to visit Andaman for Honeymoon would be anytime between mid-September to mid-October or February to March. Monsoons should be avoided as they are marked by continuous rains, high waves and strong winds.
Location & How to reach:
Port Blair is accessible by both air and sea. The ship journey, however, takes about 3-4 days and is time taking and hence most people prefer going to this place by air. There are a number of flights operating between Port Blair and major cities like Chennai, Kolkata and New Delhi.
