The Scuba Diving package includes transportation between Goa and Malvan and many other things. This is a day-long activity and we would start at around 8:00 am in the morning from Goa. Malvan is situated at a distance of around 103 kilometres from Goa. The cost of the scuba diving package is INR 2999.
Once we reach Malvan, there will be an approximate 10-minute training in the shallow waters where the instructors will teach you all about the activity which will be followed by another 10-15 minutes of supervised dive in the deep sea.
All required equipment and apparatus will be provided to you and you be guided on how to use them. The package also includes morning snacks, lunch and water. You can also not only witness the beautiful aquatic life but also take pictures and videos of the same back with you. We will mostly finish the whole agenda of the day late in the afternoon and then reach Goa again by 6:30 pm
Safety
Scuba Diving is not at all dangerous if you are wearing your gear properly and you are following the instructions of your instructor. This also requires a certain level of physical fitness.
Make sure you go you do not have any illness that may cause difficulties underwater. Do take an opinion of a doctor before indulging in this activity in that case. Scuba Diving happens under the supervision of instructors who are trained and will guide you properly for the activity.
Learn the use of each equipment and how to control them under water. If these set of points are followed, then scuba diving will be a safe as well as exciting adventure activity.
Is swimming a necessity for Scuba Diving?
You don't need to know swimming if you are just going for a recreational scuba diving experience for a day under the supervision of an instructor. The instructor will be there with you all of the time and will train you accordingly.
However if you opt for higher levels of scuba diving which are more difficult or any specific scuba level certification then you need to know basic swimming which means swimming for a distance of 200 yards at a stretch along with a thorough training.
Best time for performing the sport:
The best time to indulge in scuba diving in Malvan is from October to mid-February. The underwater visibility is clear during these months and the weather is also conducive for the sport.

Malvan is around 103 kilometres from Goa and can be easily reached by road. The nearest railhead is at Kudal.
