Short Itinerary:

Day 01: Tirthan Valley. Reach Gushaini and explore Jibhi and Gushaini.

Day 02: Trek to Jalori Pass and Serolsar Lake.

Day 03: Visit Great Himalayan national park.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 01 Tirthan Valley

  • Reach Gushaini in the early hours of the morning
  • Check-in Homestay/Camps as per preferences
  • Freshen up and have a hot and delicious breakfast
  • Visit the local markets of Jibhi & Gushaini
  • Have dinner with bonfire and music in the background

Day 02 Trek to Jalori Pass and Serolsar Lake

  • Wake up early morning with enthusiasm and have breakfast
  • Drive to Jalori Pass 
  • Trek further to 360 Viewpoint and Serolsar Lake. The total trek time to and fro will be 5 hours roughly.
  • Come back to Homestay/Camps and enjoy music with a bonfire 
  • Overnight stay and Dinner at the Homestay

Day 03 Visit to GHNP and Departure

  • Wake up early morning with enthusiasm and have breakfast
  • Today we will explore the local markets and Great Himalayan National Park

  • Depart for Delhi in the evening

How to Reach Tirthan:

  •  By Air: Bhuntar airport is the nearest airport to Tirthan Valley which is about 50kms from the valley. From Airport you can book a cab for Tirthan.
  • By Rail: Ambala station is the nearest railway station to Tirthan and is well connected with Delhi, there are plenty of options to pick your train. You can book a taxi from Ambala station to Tirthan Valley.

  • By Road: There are regular buses from Delhi, Shimla and Dharmshala for Aut. You can book a cab from Aut to reach Tirthan Valley.

  • If cancellations are made within 0-30 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases the our service partner will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity.
  • For all the above choices, you can transfer your tickets to your friends. We would be more than happy to have them on board and you could save your hard earned money.

You can visit Tirthan valley trek either from March to June or from October to November. According to Himachal tourism, this is the best time to visit Tirthan Valley.

The difficulty level of this trek moderate to difficult. It might be a bit hard for first timers, but with a little bit of perseverance, they will manage to do this trek quite easily. However please be prepared, as some people might face issues such as AMS while climbimg altitudes. You can always start with a small and easier trek and do this trek.

As first timers can also do this trek, we would advise the participants to have a level of extreme fitness. Kindly follow a proper fitness routine for atleast a month before joining the trek.

This trek has moderate difficulty, where the treker might have to climb steep slopes. Make sure to follow a proper regime where you go on long walks alternating with jogging, walking on inclined planes to practice walking on steep slopes, skipping and squating to strenghten your muscels and maintain your heart rate and control your breathing.

Since this trek is a relatively long trek, make sure that your rucksack has a large capacity to hold all of your belongings and your gear. Also as you will have to climb steep slopes there might be chances of your backpack slipping down your back. So get a rucksack that has comfortable wide straps and hip belts to hold it in position.

Since this trek will be on a rocky terrain, we would advise you to get hikking boots that are lightweight with flexible soles and can be super helpful for these kinds of treks. If you wish you can also go for trekking boots that are supportive to the ankle and feet and are durable for these kinds of treks.

Yes, A guide is necessary for this trek. As this trek is a moderate level trek, with steep slopes to climb, a professional guide who is trained to work in this kind of environment will be super helpful and convenient for the trekkers.

The Tirthan Valley trek is moderate to difficult in terms of difficculty levels. It might be difficult when you will have to climb a steep slope, so be prepared and physically fit to finish this challenge.

The Tirthan Valley trek is one of the treks that makes for a picturisque scenery and calm environment, that brings about the solo traveler in all of us. It is an extremely great trek for a solo travel plan!
