About Dhanaulti Kanatal Camping

Dhanaulti is a hill station situated in the foothills of the Garhwal range of the Himalayas and is located 24 kilometers away from the popular hill station of Mussoorie and 37 kilometers away from Chamba. It lies between these two places and is perched at an altitude of 2286 meters above sea level. Dhanaulti is known for its peaceful environment and is surrounded by lush green forests of Deodar, Rhododendron, and Oak.

Kanatal is a small village located near Dhanaulti. The distance from Dhanaulti to Kanatal is about 12 kilometers. Kanatal is a great place for camping. The Kanatal camp offers spectacular views of the Himalayas and is situated amidst forests and hills. Kanatal weather remains pleasant in summers while the region receives heavy snowfall in winters. Other than experiences such as sitting by the campfire and enjoying the beautiful views around, there are also a few treks and adventure activities in and around the campsite. Kanatal is a great hub for eco-tourism and will let you come closer with nature. The camping experience here will surely be one of the most memorable things you will come across.

Short Itinerary:

Day 01: Dhanaulti – Adventure activities.

Day 02: Dhanaulti – Kanatal.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 01:

  • You will reach Dhanaulti in the morning and directly go to the campsite.
  • After freshening up and having breakfast, you will go and try some of the adventure activities here like Burma bridge, ropewalk, valley crossing and many more.
  • In the evening refreshments will be served with tea or coffee.
  • At night you will have your dinner by the campfire.
  • Overnight stay at your camps under the star-studded sky.

Day 02:

  • Wake up early in the morning and explore the place to witness the beauty of Himalayan peaks, forests and the surroundings and do a small trek.
  • You will next head towards the Kanatal camp post breakfast.
  • You will mostly reach the Kanatal camp by noon.
  • The campsite provides stunning views of the Himalayan peaks.
  • There are coniferous forests and small trails in the forests, which you can explore.
  • You will stay at your tents in the campsite for the night.

Day 03: 

  • Wake up early to catch the spectacular sunrise against the backdrop of the Himalayan peaks.
  • Post this you will be having our breakfast and check out from the camp.
  • You will be boarding a bus from the Kanatal Camp and head back to Delhi.

How to Reach:

By Air: Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport to Dhanaulti and is about 83 km away. You can book a cab from the airport to Dhanaulti.

By Train: The nearest railway station is Rishikesh and Dehradun. You can book a cab from railway station to Dhanaulti.

By Road: Dhanaulti is well connected with road. You can get buses from Dehradun to Dhanaulti.

  • 50 % refund if notified via phone, Mail 5 days prior to the Date of Travel.
  • No refund if the cancellation is requested is less than 5 days of day of travel.
  • No show, no refund.
  • Booking cannot be transferred to another date against cancellation.
  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases the our service partner will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity.
  • For all the above choices, you can transfer your tickets to your friends. We would be more than happy to have them on board and you could save your hard earned money.
  • The company reserves the right to cancel the trip due to unforeseen circumstances, in case of such cancellation your amount will be refunded back.

Refund Policy

  • The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days
  • All applicable refunds will be done in traveller's togedr wallet.

  • If the trek/trip gets cancelled due to any pandemic or government’s order, there would be no refund instead the plan will get postponed.
