The most beautiful part the Nishani Motte trek is the ridge walk on the sides of dense forests. A broad ridge which gives an open view of Kerala on the right side and a dense forest on the left side is where the heart starts pumping more blood to reach the Nishani Motte peak.

Short Itinerary:

Day 01: Bhagamandala-Talacauvery.

Day 02: Bhagandeshwara temple.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 01:

Reach Bhagamandala early morning.
Bhagamandala is situated by the banks of the Cauvery river and the Bhagandeshwara temple is located here.
Talacauvery which is the place of origin of the river Cauvery is situated 8 kilometers away and is one of the points from where the Nishani Motte trek starts passing through the Talacauvery Wildlife Sanctuary.
An ancient temple is located here. A part of the trekking trail is covered with a jeep ride while the rest needs to be covered on foot.
The trail is picturesquely surrounded by dense forests and streams.
There is a meadow that appears on the way from where you can clearly see the Nishani Motte Peak.
The views from the summit of this trek are splendidly providing panoramic views of the landscapes in Karnataka and Kerala.
You will then head back to our homestay post descending and spend the night there.

Day 02:

You will wake up early to catch a glimpse of the sun rising against the backdrop of the river Cauvery.
You will spend some time exploring the areas around the homestay.
The coffee and spice plantations are worth visiting here.
You will also visit the Bhagandeshwara temple.
After a good lunch at the homestay you will start your journey back to Bangalore.

By Air: Banglore is the nearest airport to Niashani Motte which is about 321 km away. You can easily book a cab from the airport to the Nishani Motte.

By Train: The nearest railway station is at Mysore. You can easily book a cab from the railway station to the Nishani Motte.

By Bus: There are a number of buses between Bangalore and Madikeri that takes about 6 hours to reach Bhagamandala (289 Km). You can easily get a bus from the major cities.
