By Air: Mangalore International Airport is the nearest airport to Kudremukh. The airport is situated at a distance of about 90 km from Kudremukh. You can easily book a cab from the airport to Kudremukh.
By Train: Mangalore Railway Station is the nearest railway junction to Kudremukh, situated at a distance of about 100 km. You can easily book a cab for Kudremukh from the railway station.

The best time to go on a Kudremukh trek is during the months of August and September. The views of the trek during the Monsoon months is gorgeous and the best.
The major things that every trekker must carry with themselves when they are on the Kudremukh trekking are good trekking shoes, a rucksack, cotton clothes, a pair of gloves, warmer, a warm jacket, warm caps that would cover the head and ears perfectly, raincoat, water bottle, extra socks, torch, towel, walking stick, medicines, and some toiletries like the cold cream, sunscreen, moisturiser, toilet soap, etc.
The Kudremukh trek is a moderate to a difficult level trek. But, it is also suited for the beginners and the beginners are recommended to try this trek. For the people who have done trekking already, for them it is an easy one.
Vegetarian meals will be provided during the trek for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Depending on the size of the group, TT tempo traveller or mini bus will be arranged for the trek.
Since the trek is not a very difficult one, the trekkers are not required to do any strenuous workouts prior to going on this trek. Even for the beginners, the trek is mildly tough and just going for continuous walks a week before and doing some squats would help you in building your lower body strength.

Kudremukh is a beautiful peak in the Chikmagalur district in Karnataka. The Kudremukh peak is a horse face shaped peak and is famous for this view. The sight of the beautiful green mountains, waterfalls, coconuts, water streams, and the tea plantations are the sights for which Kudremukh is famous for.
The Kudremukh trek is totally suitable for the female and the solo travellers. You will be going on this trek with a group of trekkers in total guidance and care taken, so there is utmost safety for the solo and female travellers. The trek group will be of 10 to 50 members so everyone is safe in the group. Also, in our group treks, we have equal male and female ratio so the trek for females is totally safe.
The size of our trek group is somewhere in between 10 to 50 trekkers. For the confirmation of the event, we need a minimum of 8 members.

We would recommend you to carry only the very important things because that would make your bags lighter.
