Everest Base Camp Trek is a well-planned 12 days Everest base camp trek.

The Short Everest Base Camp Trek takes you on a 12 days trek of the Everest region in Nepal.
This package includes 2 days acclimatization along with a plethora of other trekking activities.
The trek starts with a flight to Lukla from Kathmandu and ends with a return flight to Kathmandu.

The shortest way to reach Everest Base Camp is to take a flight to Lukla from Kathmandu, undertake a three walk to Namche Bazaar and then, trek to the Base Camp.
Day 1 Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding
The trek begins with a flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. It is a journey of about 30-35 minutes. Once descended in Lukla, you will be introduced to your other team members, guide and porters.
From there, the trek to the majestic Everest Base Camp begins. The roads of Lukla provide you a wonderful chance to have an insight in the Nepalese culture. You will come across bridges and rivers which add on to the majestic beauty of Lukla.
Once you reach your destination, that is Phakding, you have the rest of the time for sight-seeing and leisure activities.

Day 2 Trek to Namche
After enjoying full breakfast in Phakding we will get ready to continue to Namche. The award-winning view on the way makes the journey worth it. We will cross steep grounds in order to reach Mislung from where we will continue our trek to Namche on a level ground.
After checking into the lodge in Namche, you are free to take leisure stroll around the market area of spend the rest of the evening as per your convenience.

Day 3 Acclimatization in Namche
To prepare the trekkers for altitude sickness, an acclimatization trek is undertaken in Namche. After the completion of this trek, the trekkers have the evening to their leisure.
Day 4 Trek to Tengboche
Having a healthy breakfast in Namche, you will be undertaking the trek to Tengboche. On the way, you would be a witness to various beauty miracles of nature which are bound to leave you stunned.
The trek to Tengboche goes through the Sanasa from where we follow the descending trial leading to the Everest Base Camp. The scenic beauty of the village is beyond words and something very surreal.
Once you’ve reached Tengboche, you will check into a lodge and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 5 Trek to Dingboche
After breakfast, you will begin your trek to Dingboche. On your way, you will cross conifer forest which will manage to stupefy you with their natural beauty.
After a long trek, you will reach Dingboche where you will check into your overnight accommodation and have the rest of the evening free.

Day 6 Acclimatization in Dingboche
After breakfast, you will be taken on an acclimatization trek. After the trek, you will get back at your lodge and rest overnight.
Day 7 Trek to Lobuche
After a hearty breakfast in Dingboche, you will head to Lobuche. In the way, you will come across clean and creamy streams which flow via lush green environments.
Once in Lobuche, you will check into the lodge and spend the remaining time either resting or hiking up the ridges east of Lobuche to witness the firsthand beauty of the Khumbu Glacier with Nuptse and Lhotse.

Day 8 Trek to Gorakshep-Everest base camp-back to Gorakshep
Having breakfast in Lobuche, you will continue to travel towards Gorakshep. Once you reach Gorakshep, you will leave your luggage behind and commence your trek to Everest Base Camp.
There, you are free to capture pictures and enjoy the beauty of the nature. After spending some time and embedding the scenic view of the Everest Base camp in your heart and soul, you will begin your return trek to Gorakshep.
Here, you will spend the rest of your day, sleeping or strolling around.

Day 9 Hike to Kala Patthar & trek to Periche
Kala Patthar depicts the most beautiful view from the Everest range. Its view is right out of a fairy tale. The almost magical sunrise and sunset and the continuous chirruping of the birds make it a place which gives us inner peace.
After enjoying yourself at the Kala Patthar, you will retrace your steps back to Lobuche. There, you will trace another trail which leads to Periche. Once you reach Periche, you will check in and enjoy the rest of the day.

Day 10 Trek to Namche
After breakfast in Periche, you will continue your descend to Namche. Leaving behind the meadows and glaciers, you will reach Namche.
Once in Namche, you will check into your lodge and rest for the day.

Day 11 Trek to Lukla
After having your breakfast at Namche, you will retrace your steps to Lukla. You will trace a level trail until Mislung and then a steep one. However, in no time, you will be back to Lukla, enjoying your success and reminiscing your memories which you made in the past 10 days.

Day 12 Fly to Kathmandu
After breakfast in Lukla, you board a plane to Kathmandu. Once you are in your hotel, you are subjected to the promised one-hour full body massage.
After you are well rested, later in the evening you are invited to the complimentary dinner where we discuss your feedback on the trip.
The trek is a difficult and includes long hours of trekking to reach the specified destination. Only the people who are mentally strong and physically fit can undertake this trek.
Altitude sickness is a very common problem which can happen to the fittest of the fit. So, the trekkers need to be prepared for this too.

During the colder months, from November to January, the temperature could be freezing cold henceforth dropping down to around -60 degrees.
Even during the summers, the temperature reaches the extremities going as high as of 50 degrees.
For overnights stays, teahouses, lodges and guest houses will be booked. The rooms will be allotted on twin-sharing bases.

We expect the maximum level of fitness from the participants of the Evert Base Camp trek. Kindly undergo a rigorous fitness regime before attempting this trek.
As this is a relatively difficult trek, trekkers are expected to undergo a strict training session atleast two months prior to attempting the trek. Trekkers can include long walks alternating with jogging, a number of cardio vascular exercises to control your breathing rate and maintain a low heart rate. They can also indulge in skipping and squating exercises to strengthen their back and thigh muscles. We would also advise them to walk and jog on inclined planes to better prepare your body for it.
As this is a long trek we would suggest a rucksack that has a large enough capacity to hold all your clothes and accessories along with any gears or equipment that you wish to carry along with you. Look for backpacks that have wider straps and hip belts so that the weight of the bag is divided properly and to maximize comfort for the trekker.
Yes porters will be available to carry your luggage. However this facility is chargeable if you carry extra luggage with you. Make sure that the weight of the luggage doesn’t exceed more than 12 kgs.
We would advise you to carry trekking shoes for long treks like this. Trekking shoes are slip resistant and durable. They also support your feet and ankle and protect them from the cold.
Yes this is a relatively long trek and having a professionaly trained guide can be very convenient for the trekkers. They are also trained to deal with any emergencies or medical situations such as AMS which is pretty common in long treks like this.
