As per Uttarakhand High Court order (Petition No. : 123 / 2014) on August 2018, one can not camp on alpine meadows or grassland, locally called Bugyal. Therefore we inform you with regret that we won’t be able to run any Roopkund trek for this season. Check here the notice issued by Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Uttarakhand in accord with the court verdict. On 26th Sep’18 a reconsideration appeal is also turned down by the court and the possibility to arrange Roopkund trek is next to nil.

The initial trials of the trek are demanding, but the very sight of this lake on the summit day makes you realize that all the effort was worth it. The high altitude glacial lake trek to Roopkund at 15,696 ft is simply life altering apart from being spectacularly gorgeous. This trek requires tenacity to overpower strong winds, thinning air, snow walks, and steep ascends but it is only then that you realize that you have conquered not the mountains but yourself. A highly recommended experience, the Roopkund Trek will find for you peace you didn't know you need and trash for you burden you didn't know you were carrying
This place is a complete movie set for me. Those 8 days of Roopkund were the best days of my life. Our group adventure turned out to be best and most memorable trips my life. Many many thanks to our tour guide whole instructions made this long trip possible. It was such a magical journey for me and my friends. We all were challenged to walk up the mountains but had a blast while doing so. And not to forget, the superb views of the peaks were amazing.
The tour guides were very helpful. They briefed us with all the mysteries regarding Roopkund and also told a lot of stories about the same. I got immersed in the beauty of the lakes and mountains, this encouraged me to trek even more. I wanted to get lost in the scenic beauty. It is a perfect thing to be done to remove all the stress.
I am very happy after coming back from the trek. The organizers really arranged the trek well. The services provided by the group was just awesome. They had cooks and helpers all the time. They helped us wherever we needed help. The food was also really very fresh.
As Roopkund is in high altitude it is pretty difficult to cook food for so many people, still the food was very tasty and they served us hot. I enjoyed the whole trip and am planning another trek with the team.
If you want to enjoy in the lap of nature and take a view from the Himalayas and the beautiful frozen lake and the skeleton beside it, this is a perfect place. It was a thrilling journey as we trekked during the day time and camped during night. We also made a lot of new friends.
The view from the Himalayas and all the other mountains is a thing that one will remember throughout their lifetime.
The team members very really very much supportive. They motivated us throughout the journey. They helped us wherever we needed help.
The whole team managed the whole trek in an affordable expense along with good food. They made our travel worthwhile. I am planning to do even more treks with this team because I had an amazing time in Roopkund.
