The state of Uttarakhand has released new travel guidelines for Unlock 4.0. The recent phase of COVID-19 lockdown in India has accompany the easing of travel restrictions. Uttarakhand has also issued fresh guidelines with more relaxation on intrastate and interstate travel.
A list of activities has been permitted in Uttarakhand, except the containment zones. Given below are the intra-state and inter-state travel guidelines for Uttarakhand. the knowledge is subject to vary consistent with the updates by the Uttarakhand Government.
Uttarakhand Intrastate Travel Guidelines

UTC is starting its services on selected routes from Dehradun within the first phase.
Uttarakhand has exempted VIPs from quarantine, no restriction on tourists with negative Covid-19 reports.
Travellers coming from high load Covid-19 infected cities got to undertake seven days of institutional quarantine followed by seven days of home quarantine.
Travel bookings to the state are often made on the supply of a covid-19 negative report, not older than four days or 96 hours. All tourists visiting the state need to mandatorily register on the online portal www.smartcitydehradun.uk.gov.in . and that they also will need to upload their coronavirus report on the portal.
Uttarakhand Interstate Travel Guidelines
The restriction of only 2000 people entering the state has been removed.
For those trying to find inter-state travel, tourists coming to Uttarakhand will need to mandatorily register themselves on the Smart City web portal and therefore the registration documents are going to be verified by the authorities at the border check posts.
TOURISTS

Uttarakhand Treks
All tourists coming to Uttrakhand have to register themselves on smart city web portal (http://smartcitydehradun.uk.gov.in/ ) prior to their travel. The tourists with Covid-19 negative test report, which is not earlier than 72 hours, can visit all public places and destinations across Uttarakhand without any restrictions.
The asymptomatic tourists without Covid-19 negative certificate can enter the state but should have a minimum booking for 7 days in a hotel. They will have to stay within the premises of the same hotel for 7 days, post that they can visit the public places across state.
Char Dham Yatra will be available only to the residents of Uttarakhand until further orders. There are no restrictions for the Guests to attend the wedding ceremony in the state. However, upon their arrival, they will have to take a written undertaking (self-declaration form) to clearly indicate their place of stay and marriage venue to the management of Banquet Hall/Hotel. They will not be allowed to visit any public places apart from the place of marriage during their entire stay.
The management of Banquet Hall/ Community Hall will have to ensure proper thermal screening of all employees and guests prior to their entry and maintain a proper record of the guests. They shall also ensure adherence of guidelines related to safety and social distancing issued by MoHFW, Government of India.
HOTELS/B&B/HOMESTAYS

Uttarakhand Tourism
All Hotels/B&B/Homestays outside the containment zones are now allowed to operate and will have to follow the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
There is no restrictions regarding the minimum period of stay in the hotels/B&B/Homestays for the persons who have undergone the RT-PCR test as per the norms and reflecting the Covid-19 negative report.
The Hotels/Homestays/B&B will have take a self declaration from the asymptomatic tourists,coming from high load/non-high load COVID-19 infected cities for not visiting any public places and will stay in the hotel premises for 7 days before starting their travel to public destinations across the state.
Gyms/Swimming Pools/Bars/Restaurants situated within the hotel premises are still not allowed to operate. Hotels are allowed to serve liquor only as the part of room service, subject to the compliance of social distancing and safety.
All Hotels/B&B/Homestays shall strictly adhere to the SOP, issued by the Department of Tourism, Government of Uttarakhand.
GUIDELINES for REOPENING OF RESTAURANTS
All restaurants are allowed to open in the state between 7am to 9pm. However, all such restaurants in containment zones will be closed till further orders.
The restaurant owners/managers shall make arrangements to ensure that a record of all customers. Also the waiters serving the tables are maintained at all times, clearly specifying the date and time. In addition to the above, the restaurant management shall strictly adhere to the SOP issued by the Department of Tourism, government of Uttarakhand on restaurants.
